How can I order a Harmar product?
Harmar products are available exclusively through Harmar's nationwide network of dealers. It is imperative to have a qualified dealer who is authorized to install, demonstrate and service your product. Use the Dealer Locator to find a Harmar Authorized Dealer in your area.
Is this lift compatible with my vehicle?
Harmar has the most complete and innovative Compatibility Calculator in the industry. Click on "Configure Your Solution" to find the perfect lift for you. The compatibility calculator is only meant as a guide. Harmar's knowledgeable authorized dealers will be glad to discuss your needs and confirm the proper lift for your application.
What maintenance must be performed to keep the lift operating properly?
All Harmar products are designed and tested to operate flawlessly for years of trouble-free use with very little maintenance. Please refer to the Owners' Manual for specific product maintenance schedules.
Can the lift be plugged into the existing wiring on my vehicle?
No, all Harmar lifts must be powered by the supplied electrical harness. The harness has full- length leads that attach directly to the battery.
Are outside lifts weather resistant?
Yes. Outside lifts are designed to be fully weather resistant and designed to withstand outdoor use. The remote hand controls available with some models, however, are not weather resistant and must be removed and stored inside when not in use.
What is a stairway lift?
It is a motorized lift that carries a person up and down the stairs. A moving chair rides up and down on a narrow track attached directly to the steps.
What is a vertical platform lift?
It is used to overcome differences in height which prohibit the use of a wheelchair or scooter. This difference can be as little as two feet to as much as fourteen feet, inside or outside the home. While a ramp could be used in many of these cases, it would require a long ramp that would require large amounts of time and money to build. A vertical platform lift transports both the user and their mobility device at the same time.
Can I use emollients, aqueous creams, oils in the bath with my bathlift?
Yes, however, please ensure that you thoroughly rinse / clean away any residue from the base of the bath and the suction feet. We also recommend that you wash your covermats more often.
