Harmar Celebrates Wheelchairs 4 Kids Milestone Achievement with Donated Lift

Feb 14, 2019 | Company News

Harmar sponsored Wheelchairs 4 Kids’ 500th Recipient, Lilian, with an AL500 Power Chair Lift! As a corporate supporter of Wheelchairs 4 Kids, Harmar enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of such a great accomplishment.
The family evaluated all types of lifts, but ultimately decided on the AL500 due to the need to preserve cargo room in their Kia Sedona. Lilian’s needs will change, so the extra capacity means the AL500 will grow with her. The lift was installed by Dan Morales and Brad Watkinson from Harmar’s Technical Support team, and Rob Eggerling, Harmar’s Southeastern Business Manager, helped the family become familiar with the lift.

“Wheelchairs 4 Kids is so pleased to have helped our 500th child, and the 115th this fiscal year,” said Madeline Robinson, Executive Director at Wheelchairs 4 Kids. “The organization was founded 7 years ago and has increased the number of kids helped every year with hopes to get to 1,000 in the next 2 – 3 years.”

The kids in attendance, which included several previous recipients and their families, were entertained by Wheelchairs 4 Kids partner Ted Brodeme who had a variety of magic tricks. They were also visited by “Pete,” the Tampa Bay Rowdies Soccer Team Mascot.
