Harmar Mobility’s Highlander II Wins HME Business New Product Award

Oct 5, 2021 | Company News

SARASOTA, Fla., October 2021 Harmar Mobility’s new Vertical Platform Lift (VPL), the Highlander II, is the Access Home category winner of HME Business’s 2021 New Product Award competition. The New Product Award honors exceptional product development achievements by HME manufacturers and service providers. Harmar’s 2021 award follows two previous wins with Harmar’s Pinnacle straight stairlift (2018) and AL580-HDX outside vehicle lift (2018).

Harmar’s Highlander II represents a new generation and evolution in VPLs and is an outstanding choice for at-home and commercial challenges. The updated design is visually appealing, providing a smoother, quieter, stable ride and continual performance feedback from the lift’s control board. These new technologies introduced in the Highlander II make this VPL series more reliable, easier to use, service, troubleshoot, and the premier market choice for platform lift solutions.

The VPL, also known as a “porch lift,” was designed to give back independence to those who struggle with entering and leaving their homes. Updated features also limit the number of potential maintenance visits from certified technicians. The Guardian System, which is made of four, bright LED lights, provides users with continual performance feedback. Additional features include the Smart Sense PC boards to monitor the unit’s health, Steady Drive for a smoother ride, the optional ReadyUPS battery backup, and the Big Blue paddle for easier operation.

“We are honored that our Highlander II received such recognition,” said Harmar CEO Steve Dawson. “Thank you to those at HME Business for selecting our VPL as their 2021 Home Access winner. We can’t wait to see how many lives the Highlander II can lift.”
