1998
Chad Williams bought a small vehicle lift company called All Purpose Manufacturing that had two products, an inside lift and an outside lift. The business was soon renamed Harmar Auto Lift.
2002
Introduction of a complete portable ramp product line.
2003
2200% growth since 1998 earned Harmar the #60 spot on the Inc.500 list as one of Inc. Magazine‘s fastest-growing private companies in America. Harmar was also honored as the second fastest-growing private American manufacturer.
2004
Harmar developed a new category of vehicle lifts with the introduction of the Hybrid Lift.
2006
Named the world‘s largest manufacturer of Outside Vehicle Lifts, Harmar once again earned a spot on the Inc.500, placing #148.
2008
Acquired Summit Lifts for its popular stair lift line and to increase expertise in home accessibility.
2009
Introduced Residential Vertical Platform Lifts.
2009
Introduced what has become one of America‘s most popular stair lifts, the Pinnacle Stair Lift.
2010
Launched a brand new, complete line of Highlander Residential and Commercial Vertical Platform Lifts.
2011
Acquired Freedom Mobility for its extensive NMEDA-grade vehicle lift portfolio.
2012
Launched the Sierra Inclined Platform lift, an all-new solution for residential accessibility.
2013
Launched the industry’s first HD Outside Vehicle Lifts, providing solutions up to 400 lbs.
2014
Launched the Helix Curved Stair Lift, establishing US-based rail design and fabrication.
2016
Steve Dawson joined Harmar as CEO.
2018
Launched the Pinnacle SL300 Stair Lift – a 300 lb. capacity version of the popular Pinnacle SL600.
2018
Acquired Pride Mobility Lifts and Ramp product lines.
