What is a stairlift?
A Stairlifts is a motorized chair unit that carries a person up and down a stairway. The moving chair travels on a narrow track attached directly to the steps.
Are outside lifts weather resistant?
Yes. Outside lifts are designed to be fully weather resistant and designed to withstand outdoor use. The remote hand controls available with some models, however, are not weather resistant and must be removed and stored inside when not in use.
How does the vehicle lift get power?

Customers have a choice of attaching the lift (via a wire harness) to the vehicle’s battery; or utilizing an optional, rechargeable battery pack.

Harmar’s authorized dealers will be able to discuss the various distinctions and confirm the proper lift for your specific need.
What maintenance must be performed to keep the lift operating properly?
All Harmar products are designed and tested to operate flawlessly for years of trouble-free use with very little maintenance. Please refer to the Owners’ Manual for specific product maintenance schedules.
What is a vertical platform lift?

A vertical platform lift (VPL), much like an elevator, can be used to transport a scooter, powerchair, or wheelchair vertically as little as two feet to as much as 14 feet. A VPL can be used inside or outside the home to move a mobility device and its user from ground level to an elevated porch, deck or second level. A VPL has a much smaller footprint than a ramp which would require a gradual slope and much longer space.
